Parasyte episode 23

Good episode. We all knew that Migi was still alive and that he would return to Shinichi, so I am not going to moan about it being predictable or anything. It was only to be expected, otherwise the story would’ve been pointless.
So Shinichi went back there to face that supposedly invincible monster on his own. One superhuman versus a monster that consist out of several parasites and one parasitic overlord. I thought it was kind of weird that he returned with that rusty chopper, but in the end he managed to do incredible damage with a rusty piece of metal that was supposedly poisonous due to all sorts of chemicals and whatnot. That poison destroyed Gotou’s body, causing all the other parasites to fear for their survival, and allowing Migi to return to Shinichi’s side.
It was quite an interesting turn of events, I’ll give ‘em that, but I believe it could’ve been executed a bit better to be very honest. I mean, Migi exited his body after taking down some vital organs. Why when the poison was all that was necessary for the other parasites to run amok? Was that the cherry on top of the cake or was it just to make sure?
Either way; Shinichi chopped down Gotou before he got the chance to regenerate. Smart move. You don’t want a monster like that running around. You’d be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life if you’d let him live. But still, part of me believes that there’s more bad stuff coming. After all; that murderer was quite interested in Shinichi and he did manage to escape, remember? I am pretty sure I am right about this.
