Parasyte episode 20
Now this was a very eventful episode. A lot of death and destruction that you don’t often see in anime. It’s usually censored in order to protect the viewers, but not with Parasyte. That’s probably what I liked most about this show.So humankind decided to fight against this parasitic threat that has been terrorizing the country for months now. It was quite shocking to see how those armed forces were willing to allow a few human sacrifices if it meant killing those parasites. They usually avoid that in anime or at least censor it to prevent viewers from complaining.
The real question is how they plan on killing the one human body that houses five or six parasites. You can shoot him and he won’t die, you can stab him and he won’t die and you can probably throw a grenade or two at him and he’ll still find a way to survive. How are those soldiers supposed to kill something like that when Shinichi and Migi couldn’t do anything but run from him?
I also noticed that those soldiers aren’t really familiar with those parasites. They only know so much. I mean, they successfully escorted a bunch of people out and identified a parasite. They immediately shot and killed it, which was fine, but they thought that they could continue with that strategy and that all would be fine. It is troubling because they already seemed to know that those parasites can detect one another, so why didn’t they assume that they would become suspicious when one of them suddenly disappeared? They must’ve known that the other parasites would notice and that they would do anything to survive.
